MSArch Degree

Master of Science in Architecture Degree

The Master of Science in Architecture (MSArch) degree provides students holding either a professional or nonprofessional degree in architecture or a related field of study the opportunity to enter into an intensive, two-semester course of study that encourages both critical awareness and technical proficiency in the context of design experimentation.

The program is two semesters long with consecutive fall and spring terms providing a 30-credit curriculum that integrates design studios, history/theory seminars and lecture courses, building science seminars and lecture courses, and software and fabrication seminars.

Graduates of the program are awarded a Master of Science in Architecture (MSArch) degree.

STEM Designation

The MSArch program is now designated as a STEM program in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology (CIP code 04.0902) making international MSArch graduates eligible to extend their F-1 visas for up to three years in order to work in the United States.
